Ten inches to go!

Another two inches of rain yesterday, August 8th. And this month might turn out to be the rainy one we need to catch up to last year’s total rainfall in San Francisco.

In 2008 through August 8 we had 29.46 inches of rain. This year: 19.34 inches. And four of those inches coming in the first eight days of August.

The rio in San Pancho was roaring last night about 7:30 as my best friend and I returned from Bucerias. Not a nice ride home during the heavy rainfall.

Route 200 had a few minor landslides and a couple of huge rocks in the road between Sayulita and San Pancho. But I’m happy to report that all the drivers were on their best behavior and going slow to avoid the impediments!

With the recent rash of power outages here in San Pancho, it might make you feel better to know that we are not alone. The city of Bucerias lost power about 6:15 last night and it didn’t come back until we were leaving our dinner-date about 7:15. Dinner was excellent by candlelight!
