San Pancho Weather Blog

October highlights… things you might not have noticed.

.

San Pancho experienced the lowest recorded pressure in the more than four years of records at the weather station: 29.53 inHg at 11:15 AM 10-Oct-2011. This was a couple of days before hurricane Jova made landfall. The annual average pressure in San Francisco, Nayarit has been 29.88

.

Only about a five degree variation in the daily high temperatures for the month, all hovering between 85 and 90!

The average temperature for the month was 81.5 F, not much change from the previous two years: 79.5, 81.23 (2010 and 2009 respectively), but higher than the 76.3 of October 2008.

The rainfall pattern for October is a bit more interesting as this is traditionally the “last” month of our rainy season here in San Pancho:

.

2011 – 2.81

2010 – 0.27 (on the heals of a record September rainfall)

2009 – 3.79

2008 – 0.22

.

You can decide on a pattern to these records. No rain in even-year Octobers?

.

While I personally didn’t get to enjoy this wonderful month of October in San Pancho, I’ve got some pictures of a two-foot snowfall I can show you from New England! Like this one of my Honda.
