Clear Skies Ahead

There were three inches of rain in early February at the San Pancho Weather Station. And that does it for rain until the end of April. Really.

In the eight or so years we’ve been recording the daily weather here on the Riviera Nayarit (before it was the Riviera Nayarit), there has be no rain in either March or April. Zero. None. Nada.

So it’s OK to leave the paperback sitting on the patio table. OK to put away the umbrellas (except for the hot sun). OK to get the house roof re-sealed before the rainy season. And its OK to not pack wet weather gear if you are headed San Pancho way on vaca.

The February high temperature was 84 F, the low 61. There were three days of rain for a total of 3.16 inches. Total hours of sunshine for the month was 198 (and you thought I wasn’t tracking that).

Preview of coming attractions: March high temperatures will range from the high 50’s to the mid 80’s. Did I mention it’s not going to rain?

Remember, San Pancho and most of Mexico (excepting the Mexican states on the U.S. border) remains on Central Standard Time through March. We spring ahead to daylight time the first Sunday in April at 2 a.m.
