Rain Update – July 29

As my July posting went on line last night, the rain started gently coming down on San Pancho.

An inch and a half of it, bringing the monthly total to nearly 7 inches, the average for July rainfall amounts. What the San Pancho Weather Station couldn’t record was the spectacular and local lightning and thunder show, certainly the biggest of the season.

Most of the rain fell between 4 and 5 a.m., at one point coming down at 6.5 inches per hour.

Now that’s my kind of rain. It’s a leak-finder rain. If you thought you had all of the leaks in your apartment or home fixed, this is the kind of storm that will find one (or two or three) more!
